Melqart for Pharmaceutical Industries proudly commenced production in September 2022, marking the initiation of operations at its state-of-the-art factory nestled in the Damascus countryside, Saidnaya, a mere 25 km from the heart of Damascus.

Strategic Location:
Situated in Saidnaya, Damascus Countryside, Syria, the factory stands as a beacon of progress in an industry poised for promising growth. With a total site area of 15,000 m2 and a building area of 9,600 m2, Melqart's facility is strategically structured across various floors to facilitate efficient pharmaceutical production.

Workforce:
With a dedicated team of 70-80 professionals, including technicians, pharmacists, and workers, Melqart is committed to fostering a skilled workforce that contributes to the success of the pharmaceutical enterprise.

Dosage Forms - Phase 1:
The initial production phase prioritizes Tablets and Capsules, with a fully equipped unit covering 850 m2 capable of producing:
- 300,000 tablets per hour (coated and non-coated)
- 100,000 capsules per hour

Product Focus:
In its inaugural year, Melqart aims to seek approval for the production of 14 medicines, focusing on neurologic and gastrointestinal diseases, addressing prevalent health needs. The dosage forms will encompass 7 medicines in tablets and 7 in capsules.

Laboratories:
A dedicated area of 450 m2 is allocated for comprehensive laboratories, fully equipped to facilitate robust Research and Development activities and stringent quality assurance measures.

Future Expansion Plans:
Melqart envisions expanding its product offerings with future lines dedicated to Drops and Ampoules, featuring a production line area of 1,200 m2 with a 6 m ceiling height. Additionally, a dedicated area of 210 m2 is earmarked for the production of Cosmetics.
